First Person Shooters is a video game genre centered on gun and projectile weapon-based combat through a first-person perspective. The player experiences the action through the eyes of the protagonist, and in some cases, the antagonist. These games also offer online options which features a persistent world and a large number of simultaneous players. These games provide large-scale, sometimes team-based combat and emphasize player skill more than player statistics, as no number of in-game bonuses will compensate for a player's inability to aim and think tactically.
